Lips

We are so excited you're here! You have taken the step to make your morning routine or life easier with permanent makeup. But more importantly we are honored that you choose us to give that to you. Our process is a team effort so please be sure to follow each step closely. There is a lot of important information here on this page, so be sure to bookmark it to reference back to in the future. If you have any questions at all please contact us!
** FOR YOUR SAFETY, WE REQUIRE THAT YOU COMPLETE YOUR ELECTRONIC CONSENT FORM ON THE PREVIOUS PAGE WITHIN 24 HOURS **
An important note for your health & safety: If applicable, please plan your appointment around your COVID-19 vaccination. The Society of Permanent Cosmetic Professionals Best Practices Committee’s medical experts recommend that permanent cosmetic professionals should refrain from conducting procedures two-weeks before or after a COVID-19 vaccination. If your appointment needs rescheduled, we require a 72-hour notice.
For your safety, please let us know immediately if you answer "yes" to any of the questions on the electronic consent form. If you fail to notify us of any "yes" answers ahead of time and we are unable to perform services the day of your appointment, or if we need to reschedule your appointment within 72 hours as a result of not being adequately notified your booking fee will be forfeited. If there are additional questions or if a physician’s release is required, we must have additional information and/or the release in hand at least 72 hours in advance of your scheduled appointment.
We have your Pre & Post Care Instructions for your service on the page below. Please understand that these instructions are mandatory for the success of your permanent make-up investment. We get asked all of the time if it’s okay to “bend the rules” or mostly follow the instructions. Clients just need to be aware that if they cannot skip their morning coffee or evening glass of wine in preparation of their appointment, retention can be affected and an additional session may be necessary. Coffee, alcohol, OTC pain relief, etc. can be resumed immediately after your service. We don’t do this to be mean, we want to help you retain the best results as possible and your permanent makeup results depend on you following the pre & post care Instructions. If color retention is affected by failure to follow the pre care & post care and more work is needed at the touch up session, an additional charge may be applied or an additional touch up.
We have a picture of the emotions and stages that you will go through during the healing process below the aftercare. This is simply a guide, not an exact representation of how the healing process will take place for each client. Days and steps may vary based on several factors, but this will give you an idea of what to expect after your service. Please refer back to this attachment after your appointment if you have questions about the healing process.
You will receive a confirmation request 72 hours prior to your scheduled appointment. Please respond promptly to confirm. If you need to reschedule, we require at least 72 hours notice.
IMPORTANT NOTE: DO NOT discontinue any medications that are prescribed by a physician or doctor, which are necessary for your health!
If possible, do not take aspirin or other blood thinners 5-7 days before the procedure to prevent bleeding. Non-aspirin pain relievers may be taken up to one hour prior to the procedure.
Precare Instructions:
- Absolutely NO ALCOHOL, COFFEE or any other CAFFEINE 24-48 hours prior to the procedure to prevent bleeding and poor results.
- If you have a condition that requires you to take antibiotics before a dental visit, you must check with your doctor to determine if antibiotics are needed for permanent cosmetics.
- Please inform us immediately if you have had permanent make up or tattooing previously done in the area that will be worked on.
- Please remove all makeup in the area that will be serviced. Remove any piercings obstructing the area to be treated.
- Do not use retinol or retina products on the face within 3 weeks before your service. Take extra precautions 2 weeks prior to your appointment ensure there will be no broken skin or lesions in the lip area.
- If you are on an aspirin regimen, please speak with your doctor about possibly taking a break for the 2 weeks leading up to each service (initial and perfecting). If possible, this will mean a much better healed result. If you’re unable to take a break, we can still perform the service, but may have to alter it and cannot guarantee optimal results.
- Please notify us immediately if you are on any prescription medicine and the type.
- If you have ever had a cold sore on or near your lip area please let us know immediately. If you have ever had a cold sore, you will need to get a prescription from your doctor of Valtrex or something similar to take at least 3 days before and 3 days after your appointment to prevent a mild or serious outbreak.
- In the 3 days prior to your service, please use a moisturizer multiple times a day to prepare the lips. IF your lips are too dry or chapped the day of the appointment we will not be able to complete the service.
- Stay hydrated! Your lips can sometimes be chapped due to not drinking enough water. Be sure to drink plenty of water the week of your appointment.
- 24 hours before you appointment you need to exfoliate your lips. You can use a simple sugar scrub to do so.
- If you currently get lip fillers please notify us immediately. You will need to continue your schedule as planned, except you are not allowed to get fillers done for at least 6 weeks after your touch up session.
- Please notify us of any moles or freckles that may be on your lips in the tattoo area.
You will forfeit your deposit if you:
- Miss your appointment
- Are 10 minutes late to your appointment. PLEASE BE PROMPT.
- Reschedule or cancel within 72 hours of your appointment
- Show up to your appointment sick (such as coughing or the flu). If you are sick, please contact us as soon as possible to reschedule.
The day of your appointment:
- Be sure to follow Pre Care Instructions as directed.
- If you use a certain lip stick or lip gloss color, please bring them in for reference. We can match any color.
- Put your best face forward! Feel free to wear your makeup as normal(no makeup on the serviced area) as we will take before and after pictures of your service. If you normally wear a full face, you can arrive at your service fully made up. If you don’t normally wear makeup, that is perfectly fine as well, arrive at the studio how you normally would for day to day activities and errands. If you would like a specific style or would like the service provider to see how you apply your eyeliner with makeup, they may be worn for consultation purposes. You may also bring a photo.
-Out of courtesy for other clients as well and for our service providers, please arrive 15 minutes early for all of your appointments so that we can start your service on-time or early if necessary. Unfortunately, if you are 10+ minutes late for your appointment, we will not be able to proceed with your appointment and you will forfeit your booking fee. We are not able to cut corners or rush appointments and late arrivals do not allow enough time for the service to be completed within the time-frame that we have scheduled and set aside. Late arrivals are subject to being canceled and policies will apply.
For liability reasons only the client and the service provider can be in the procedure room at the time of the appointment. If you bring someone with you, they will be asked to wait in the lobby.
Parking and main entrance are located on the backside of the building.

Please review the ingredients in our aftercare balm on the back of the tube to be sure you are not sensitive or allergic to any of the ingredients. This is a very clean product but we want to be certain.
- Day 1 (Day of the procedure)-It is very important to remove the lymph from the surface of the skin in order to avoid heavy scabbing. Right after the procedure clean the lips with a damp cotton round every 45 minutes to 1 hour until bedtime. Please dampen the cotton round with sterile or filtered water. Before bedtime, clean the procedure area one more time with the above instructions, pat dry and apply the given lip aftercare. Sometimes the lips can bruise even after the procedure is done, do not worry, if you have bruising it will go away within couple hours after the procedure.
-Day 2-The lips may be swollen the second day as well. Please do not ice the procedure area (your lips). Keep the skin moist at all times with the aftercare, do not let the lips become dry at all. Typically apply 3-4 times daily.
- Day 3-7-Keep applying the aftercare as needed, means as soon as the lips start feeling dry re-apply.
- Avoid water in the procedure area, avoid makeup in the procedure area, avoid excessive sweating, no saunas, no pools, no sunbathing.
- If you normally wash your face in the shower, wash your face in the sink with a cloth to control the water.
- Do not PEEL or PICK the flakes at all (you may cause scarring or have poor color retention as a result).
- Avoid using a straw to drink until lips are healed.
- Do not apply anything besides the lip aftercare provided during the healing phase.
- After the procedure is healed, it is best not to use creams that contain acids or ingredients that will lighten or exfoliate the skin.
- If you develop a cold sore at all, feel free to contact your doctor for a prescription to treat. Color retention will be little to none in this area.
