Our process is a team effort so please be sure to follow each step closely. There is a lot of important information here on this page, so be sure to bookmark it to reference back to in the future. If you have any questions at all please contact us!

An important note for your health & safety: If applicable, please plan your appointment around your COVID-19 vaccination. The Society of Permanent Cosmetic Professionals Best Practices Committee’s medical experts recommend that permanent cosmetic professionals should refrain from conducting procedures two-weeks before or after a COVID-19 vaccination. If your appointment needs rescheduled, we require a 72-hour notice.
For your safety, please let us know immediately if you answer "yes" to any of the questions on the electronic consent form. If you fail to notify us of any "yes" answers ahead of time and we are unable to perform services the day of your appointment, or if we need to reschedule your appointment within 72 hours as a result of not being adequately notified your booking fee will be forfeited. If there are additional questions or if a physician’s release is required, we must have additional information and/or the release in hand at least 72 hours in advance of your scheduled appointment.
We have your Pre & Post Care Instructions for your service on the page below. Please understand that these instructions are mandatory for the success of your permanent make-up investment. We get asked all of the time if it’s okay to “bend the rules” or mostly follow the instructions.
We have a picture of the emotions and stages that you will go through during the healing process below the aftercare. This is simply a guide, not an exact representation of how the healing process will take place for each client. Days and steps may vary based on several factors, but this will give you an idea of what to expect after your service. Please refer back to this attachment after your appointment if you have questions about the healing process.
You will receive a confirmation request 72 hours prior to your scheduled appointment. Please respond promptly to confirm. If you need to reschedule, we require at least 72 hours notice.
To prepare the skin, clients should follow these guidelines for at least two weeks before their Green Sea peel:
-Incorporate Spicules Twice a Week
-Using KrX’s BioHerb 50 prior to the peel helps gently prime the skin, improve texture, and support skin renewal.
Bioherb Prep Protocol-Follow this protocol twice a week for two weeks before the treatment:
Step 1: Start with clean, dry skin.
Step 2: Rub Bioherb 50 into the skin for one minute
Step 3: Get a clean, damp towel and remove and wash your face.
For 5-7 days before the Green Sea Peel, clients should discontinue the use of:
-Retinoids and retinol-based products
-Exfoliating acids (AHAs, BHAs, PHAs) or physical exfoliants
-Benzoyl peroxide or other strong acne treatments
-Use thick, or rich hydrating creams
CRITICAL INFORMATION WE MUST KNOW:
Clients who are prone to Post Inflammatory Hyperpigmentation should use a tyrosinase inhibitor for 6 weeks prior to the Green Sea Peel.
Please let us know if you are a client who tans very easily in the sun or if you have darker complexion.
Proper post-care is essential to ensure the best results from the Green Sea Peel. The skin will go through a renewal process, and following these aftercare guidelines will promote faster healing, better results, and reduced risk of complications like post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation (PIH).
The First 24 Hours:
The skin is in a highly reactive state as the spicules remain embedded in the epidermis, stimulating renewal.
Do Not Apply Moisturizer or SPF – The skin should be left undisturbed during this critical healing phase. Do not apply moisturizer or SPF for 24 hours. If you’re concerned about sun exposure, we recommend booking spicule treatments later in the day.
Do Not Cleanse – Allow the skin to fully absorb the treatment without any disruption. We do not recommend cleansing for 24 hours. Should your client cleanse, the treatment will still be effective. We have just found this technique yields better results.
48 Hours:
After 24 hours, cleanse with a gentle cleanser and use a light moisturizer. If client is uncomfortable we recommend cold compresses. Avoid exercise and excessive heat - this is essential to prevent internal heat from rising as this can lead to increased irritation and inflammation which may result in PIH. This includes: saunas, steam rooms, high intensity workouts, hot yoga, sun exposure
72 Hours:
Mild to moderate flaking, dryness or rough texture is normal. The spicule sensation may still be present. Continue to avoid exercise and excessive heat.
5-7 Days Post Treatment:
Peeling is normal, or it may be subsiding. Skin should be looking brighter, smoother and more even.
Beyond 7 Days:
Continued improvements in texture, tone, and clarity, with results progressively enhancing over the following weeks. Once peeling has subsided, resume normal skincare regimen based on clients skin concerns/type.
-Daily SPF is Non-Negotiable – Once SPF can be reintroduced (after 24 hours), a broad-spectrum mineral sunscreen (SPF 30+) should be applied daily to prevent damage and ensure even healing.
-Apply light moisturizer – This will soothe, lightly hydrate, and support the skin barrier during the healing process.
-Stay Out of the Sun – UV exposure can worsen inflammation and increase the risk of hyperpigmentation.
-Protect the Skin- If the skin feels unbearably dry or tight, apply a hydrating moisturizer rather than attempting to remove flakes manually.
-Do not pick, scratch, or manually remove peeling skin—this increases the risk of post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation (PIH), scarring, or prolonged redness.
As the skin begins to shed, it is crucial to let it slough off naturally.
- Do Not Pick or Peel
- The skin will naturally exfoliate as part of the renewal process, and forcing exfoliation can lead to irritation and uneven peeling.
- Avoid harsh cleansers or active serums that may disrupt healing.
- No physical scrubs, acids (AHAs, BHAs, PHAs), or retinoids for at least one week.
- Do Not Exfoliate (At Least 7 Days Post-Peel)
Why Post-Care is Crucial:
Following these aftercare steps ensures:
-Minimal irritation and a smooth healing process
-Reduced risk of post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation (PIH) and sensitivity
-Maximum collagen stimulation and long-term skin benefits
-By taking intentional care of the skin post-peel, clients will experience better results, a healthier barrier, and an overall improved complexion.
