Appointment Information

We are so excited you're here! You have taken the step to make your morning routine or life easier with permanent makeup. But more importantly we are honored that you choose us to give that to you. Our process is a team effort so please be sure to follow each step closely. There is a lot of important information here on this page, so be sure to bookmark it to reference back to in the future. If you have any questions at all please contact us!

** FOR YOUR SAFETY, WE REQUIRE THAT YOU COMPLETE YOUR ELECTRONIC CONSENT FORM ON THE PREVIOUS PAGE WITHIN 24 HOURS **

An important note for your health & safety: If applicable, please plan your appointment around your COVID-19 vaccination. The Society of Permanent Cosmetic Professionals Best Practices Committee’s medical experts recommend that permanent cosmetic professionals should refrain from conducting procedures two-weeks before or after a COVID-19 vaccination. If your appointment needs rescheduled, we require a 72-hour notice.

For your safety, please let us know immediately if you answer "yes" to any of the questions on the electronic consent form. If you fail to notify us of any "yes" answers ahead of time and we are unable to perform services the day of your appointment, or if we need to reschedule your appointment within 72 hours as a result of not being adequately notified your booking fee will be forfeited. If there are additional questions or if a physician’s release is required, we must have additional information and/or the release in hand at least 72 hours in advance of your scheduled appointment.

We have your Pre & Post Care Instructions for your service on the page below. Please understand that these instructions are mandatory for the success of your permanent make-up investment. We get asked all of the time if it’s okay to “bend the rules” or mostly follow the instructions. Clients just need to be aware that if they cannot skip their morning coffee or evening glass of wine in preparation of their appointment, retention can be affected and an additional session may be necessary. Coffee, alcohol, OTC pain relief, etc. can be resumed immediately after your service. We don’t do this to be mean, we want to help you retain the best results as possible and your permanent makeup results depend on you following the pre & post care Instructions. If color retention is affected by failure to follow the pre care & post care and more work is needed at the touch up session, an additional charge may be applied or an additional touch up.

We have a picture of the emotions and stages that you will go through during the healing process below the aftercare. This is simply a guide, not an exact representation of how the healing process will take place for each client. Days and steps may vary based on several factors, but this will give you an idea of what to expect after your service. Please refer back to this attachment after your appointment if you have questions about the healing process.

You will receive a confirmation request 72 hours prior to your scheduled appointment. Please respond promptly to confirm. If you need to reschedule, we require at least 72 hours notice.

Pre Care Appointment Instructions

IMPORTANT NOTE: DO NOT discontinue any medications that are prescribed by a physician or doctor, which are necessary for your health!

If possible, do not take aspirin or other blood thinners 5-7 days before the procedure to prevent bleeding. Non-aspirin pain relievers may be taken up to one hour prior to the procedure.

Precare Instructions:

▪ Absolutely NO ALCOHOL, COFFEE or any other CAFFEINE 24-48 hours prior to the procedure to prevent bleeding and poor results.

▪ If you have a condition that requires you to take antibiotics before a dental visit, you must check with your doctor to determine if antibiotics are needed for permanent cosmetics.

▪ If you get your eyebrows waxed prior to microblading, it must be done at least 2 weeks in advance. Exception: If you have a VERY specific way that you get your eyebrows waxed/ threaded, come to the appointment with them waxed/threaded the way you like so we can see the shape you prefer.

▪ Botox and fillers may alter the shape of your natural eyebrows. You must wait at least 4 weeks pre and post procedure.

▪ Skin treatments such as Retin-A that thin the skin in the procedure area must be discontinued for at least 30 days prior to the procedure.

▪ Accutane users must be off Accutane for at least ONE year.

▪ Procedures cannot be performed over fresh sunburns, including those caused by tanning beds, or being in the sun during the summer. You must wait until the burn heals.

▪ If you’ve recently had a chemical peel, microdermabrasion, or microneedling, please plan to wait 2–4 weeks before scheduling your brow appointment. We kindly ask that you keep these treatments in mind when booking with us and let us know right away if you have any recent procedures. If you arrive and we’re unable to complete your service, a cancellation fee may still apply.

(If you have not already, please contact me to schedule your 8-12+ week touch up. It is your responsibility to schedule your touch up. If you are an annual touch up client, disregard this.)

You will forfeit your deposit if you:

• Miss your appointment

• Are 10 minutes late to your appointment. PLEASE BE PROMPT.

• Reschedule or cancel within 72 hours of your appointment

• Show up to your appointment sick (such as coughing or the flu). If you are sick, please contact us as soon as possible to reschedule.

The day of your appointment:

Be sure to follow Pre Care Instructions as directed. Put your best face forward! Feel free to wear your makeup as normal as we will take before and after pictures of your service. If you normally wear a full face, you can arrive at your service fully made up. If you don’t normally wear makeup, that is perfectly fine as well, arrive at the studio how you normally would for day to day activities and errands. If you would like a specific style or would like the service provider to see how you apply your eyebrows with makeup, they may be worn for consultation purposes. You may also bring a photo. Out of courtesy for other clients as well and for our service providers, please arrive 15 minutes early for all of your appointments so that we can start your service on-time or early if necessary. Unfortunately, if you are 10+ minutes late for your appointment, we will not be able to proceed with your appointment and you will forfeit your booking fee. We are not able to cut corners or rush appointments and late arrivals do not allow enough time for the service to be completed within the time-frame that we have scheduled and set aside. Late arrivals are subject to being canceled and policies will apply.

Parking:

Parking and main entrance are located on the backside of the building.

Appointment After Care Instructions

Permanent Makeup Eyebrow Aftercare Emotions

Please review the ingredients in your aftercare balm on the back of the tube to be sure you are not sensitive or allergic to any of the ingredients. This is a very clean product but we want to be certain.

1. BLOT -
Blot your eyebrows with a clean, wet cotton round or tissue (something non-abrasive) every 1-2 hours for the first day just until you go to bed. Lymph is a clear/yellowish fluid that surfaces after the service, this is normal. But wiping this off is imperative to help ease your flaking process and clean the eyebrows.

2. WASH -
About 2 hours after the procedure, gently wash the eyebrows with a mild, gentle, non scented soap (BA After Care Cleanse available in the studio) and a wet cotton round. Scented soap is known to cause sensitivities and allergies, so please avoid scented soap. Use very little soap on the tip of your clean fingers and gently cleanse the eyebrow area. Repeat 1 more time before bed. Wash your eyebrows morning and night for the first 5-7 days.

3. MOISTURIZE -
Add an EXTREMELY thin layer of the After Care Stick provided 1-2 times a day as needed if the eyebrows feel tight or dry. MORE IS NOT BETTER! If you add too much After Care Stick, you will retain less color. If you need more ointment for your touchup we have more available for sale. For oily skin types, avoid applying ointment until day 4 or 5 or until eyebrows feel tight, itchy, or dry.

4. KEEP DRY -
Apart from washing, keep your eyebrows as dry as possible. If the eyebrows get wet in the shower, blot dry immediately when you get out. Limit your showers to 5 minutes and avoid HOT showers with steam. In addition, avoid heavy sweating, saunas, swimming, etc. until the eyebrows are done flaking.

5. DON'T PICK -
If you experience light scabbing, do not pick or pull at the scabs/flakes. Let the eyebrows flake naturally. This process usually happens between days 7-10 but varies per person. Tap, don't scratch the eyebrows if they feel itchy.

6. PROTECT -
Do not sleep on your side/face during healing. Do not expose your eyebrows to direct sun while healing. Please avoid makeup near or in the eyebrow area during the complete healing phase until your flaking is done. When you are fully done healing, always cover and/or wear SPF (we have some available at the studio) on the eyebrows, as UV rays can fade or shift the color of the tattoo over time.

IMPORTANT things to remember during the healing process:

You can resume life as normal and are considered healed when your eyebrows are completely done flaking.
Your final results from session 1 and 2 are not complete until 6 weeks after your session.
Once your flaking has started, you will notice the color under the missing flake is light. This is normal!
Your color/pigment will continue to RESURFACE for 5-6 weeks AFTER your last session. Please be patient, this is a process.
